PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of Morfoso is to create exclusive design classics of tomorrow in furniture and lighting by use of young talented designers, the spear head of lighting technology and quality second to none.

Morfoso will bring high end design into a new era. Design, function and technology is the integrated core of each product leaving the hands of Morfoso craftsmen.

Morfosos concepts and product portfolio is based on LED technology. Technology which enables customers to interact with their product and enhances the design. Furthermore technology which helps customers preserve the environment by reducing the energy consumption used for lighting, be it task-, function- or ambience lighting.

 HISTORY

Morfoso was founded in December of 2006 as a spin off of a very successful LED design and technology study carried out in corporation with world famous lighting producer Louis Poulsen Lighting, Danish National Laboratory Risoe and The Association of Danish Energy Companies.


While general lighting fixture producers have kept focus on traditional lighting and light sources, the study showed significant potential in design driven LED based products. The interest from the public was overwhelming.
This was the take off point for MORFOSO. With support from the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Hans Falleboe and Jakob Andersen founded Morfoso.

Hans Falleboe - Managing Director

Hans holds a Master of Arts in industrial design and a business degree in Commerce and Marketing. Hans is former Design Manager and Idea & Concept Manager of Louis Poulsen Lighting and has prior to his time in the Louis Poulsen organization worked as a freelance designer with world famous Danish Brands ranging from Danfoss to Bang & Olufsen.


Jakob Andersen - Head of Development

Jakob hold a B.Sc. in Engineering, has a development
engineering career in the Custom Design department
of Louis Poulsen Lighting behind him and has been the
Louis Poulsens gatekeeper on LED and LED technology
for the past five years.
At Louis Poulsen Lighting Jakob was responsible
for lighting design and development, optics and the
Louis Poulsen light measurement laboratory.
